Noisy Laptop Pro is one payment. It unlocks every event, every pack and your own sound files, on the Macs you own, with free updates for version 1.

How buying works
Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who are the merchant of record — they take the payment, handle sales tax and VAT wherever you are, and email you the licence key. We never see your card.
Open the app's License pane, paste the key, press activate. That's the whole setup. The key is stored in your Mac's Keychain, and the app re-checks it occasionally when you're online.
It's a personal licence for the Macs you own. Selling one, or setting up a new one? Deactivate from the License pane first, then activate on the other machine.
Losing your internet connection never locks you out. Only a definite “this key isn't valid” from the licence server removes an activation — a server hiccup or a flight doesn't.
Being straight with you
If what you wanted was a better sound when you plug your MacBook in, the free version does that, with a pack that sounds good, and it will keep doing it. That is a legitimate way to use this app and it isn't a trick.

Yes, with Pro. The app has a My Sounds pane: drop in m4a, mp3, wav, aiff or caf files and they show up in the sound menu for any trigger, alongside the packs. Clips are copied into ~/Library/Application Support/Noisy Laptop/CustomSounds/ and never leave your Mac. More on using your own audio.
Quit it from the menu bar and drag Noisy Laptop out of Applications. Its settings live in your preferences and your own clips in ~/Library/Application Support/Noisy Laptop/, which you can delete as well. If you have Pro and you're moving to a different Mac, deactivate the key from the License pane first.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later · Apple Silicon or Intel. It's a universal build, so it runs natively on Apple Silicon and on Intel Macs. There's no version for macOS 13 or earlier.
