What do I need?
A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. Charger and battery triggers need a MacBook; everything else works on any Mac.
What permissions does Noisy Laptop need? What does it collect?
None, and nothing. Noisy Laptop reacts to system notifications (power, sleep, devices, network), so there are no Accessibility, microphone or screen-recording prompts. For calls it only checks whether your camera or mic is in use, and never records or listens. No analytics. The only thing that ever leaves your Mac is your license key and Mac name, sent to Lemon Squeezy when you activate Pro.
Does it play when my Mac is muted?
No. It plays through your normal sound output at a volume relative to your system volume, so muted means quiet. You can also set quiet hours, only-with-headphones, or pause it for an hour. Meeting mode (on by default) silences it while your camera or mic is live.
Can I use Pro on more than one Mac?
Yes, on 2 Macs. Switching Macs? Open Noisy Laptop → License → Deactivate on the old one, then activate on the new one.
Can I get a refund?

Can I use my own sounds?
With Pro, yes. Drop in your own audio files and assign them to any trigger, next to (or instead of) the built-in themes.
Is the free version actually free?
Yes. Charger connected and disconnected with the Glass theme, forever. You can preview every other sound and theme without paying.
How do I uninstall it?
Menu bar icon → Quit Noisy Laptop, then drag it from Applications to the Trash. If you have Pro and are moving Macs, deactivate first.
